Will I have to go outside to get from my guest room to the crop space?
Nope, the guest rooms are located in the same building as our crop room.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, you may bring your own food and drinks. Each guest room includes a small refrigerator and a microwave.
ETA: East Aurora and Auburn retreats have microwaves in the rooms. Amherst does not, but I believe there is one in the lobby.

How many people can fit into a guest room?
Guest rooms have 2 full/queen beds, allowing you to sleep up to 4 people in a room.
Can I bring an extra table?
Each cropper will have a 6 foot wide section of a rectangular banquet table. Small tables or tray tables are welcome if you plan to use it next to your chair at your 6 foot wide space. Tables may not be put on the end of a bank of tables so that we can keep the aisles open. Thank you for understanding.
What drinks will be available?
In East Aurora, Coffee, tea, and bottled water will be available in the lobby and in the ball room.
In Auburn, water will be available in the crop room. Coffee may be made in your room as all of the hotel rooms have Keurigs.
Please be sure to bring a covered cup if you will have your drink at the table with you. This will help protect your own work and supplies from accidental spills, as well as those around you.

Can I leave all of my belongings in the crop room?
Yes, you may leave your supplies set up for the entire weekend. The crop room will be locked up at night. However, please do not leave electronics and valuable articles unattended. Scrapbook Creations Retreats, LLC, Keri Gray, and the hotel venue are NOT responsible for anything lost or stolen.
Do you accept seating requests?
Figuring out the seating for each retreat is very tricky! Our number one priority is to make sure that each person can sit with the table mates they list on the registration form. Due to friends joining in, cancellations and other changes, the size of groups often change. In order to accommodate these changes and ensure that everyone can still sit with their friends, we are not able to accept seating requests. Honoring seating requests would make this already difficult task of figuring out seating just about impossible. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Can I earn points for my stay through the hotel's rewards system?
Due to many factors including room blocks and specifications in the contracts, unfortunately you will not be able to earn points for your stay during our retreats. This is new, starting with the Spring 2024 retreats.
ETA: For the time being, you will be able to earn points for retreats at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn.

Can I bring my own chair?
Yes, the hotel provides us with standard hotel banquet chairs. Feel free to bring pillows, cushions, etc for additional support, or to bring your own chair. Please keep in mind that using a rolling chair/other chair will take up more space than the hotel banquet chairs and leave you with less space in front of your table.
Can I listen to music while I scrapbook?
Of course! You are welcome to listen to music, watch a movie, YouTube tutorial, etc on your personal electronic devices, but we do ask that you use headphones or ear buds. This is to keep the volume in the room at a reasonable level. Even if one person is listening to something softly, those around them may have to talk just a bit louder, and you’d be surprised how quickly it snowballs.
We also ask that FaceTime calls and any calls you need to take on speakerphone be taken to the hallway, lobby or your room, as a courtesy to those around you.

How many crafters will be at the retreat?
This varies by location, but there are 65-75 crafters at each retreat. Each person gets their own 6' of table space at all locations.
How much space will I have at my table?
Each cropper will have either a 6 foot banquet table or a 6 foot wide section of an 8 foot banquet table. All banquet tables are 30" deep.
Will there be snacks available?
In East Aurora: Yes! The Hampton Inn provides us with light snacks in our crop room (ball room). They also have snacks in the lobby from time to time for all their guests to enjoy. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks if you wish. Additionally, there is a small little store next to the front desk that sells individual snacks, drinks, candy, etc, as well as a CVS less than a block away.
In Auburn and Amherst: Feel free to bring your own snacks, as snacks will not be provided by the hotel. There is a small store near the front desk with a variety of snacks for sale.

Will I have access to an outlet?
Yes, for sure. I will run a 12 outlet surge protector to each bank of tables. Please be sure to bring an extension cord and/or a power strip to ensure that you can easily reach the surge protector from your seat.
Will you have page kits for sale?
Yes! An e-mail will be sent shortly before the first retreat of the season with a preview of the page kits that will be available. You may preorder page kits and I will save them for you and give them to you at the retreat.
I will also have kits available to purchase at each retreat.

What should I pack for a weekend retreat?
Some things you may want to bring:
- Comfy clothes. It's a good idea to dress in layers. It is very difficult to keep the large cropping room at a temperature that works for everyone, so layers are helpful! You are welcome to wear pjs and slippers while you craft!
- Your photos and scrapbook supplies!
- Portable shelf to maximize your table space. You can get them at Walmart, Target, or Amazon. I've also seen them at Lowes and Home Depot.
- You are welcome to bring a small side table.
- Cup with lid to prevent spills on your work and the work of those around you.
- Power strip and extension cord for your electrical needs.
- Ott light, craft light, or desk lamp for additional table lighting. Often times the lighting in large ballrooms is less than ideal for crafting.
- Earphones if you prefer to listen to music.
- Check or cash for shopping at the mini store.
- Mask if needed/wanted.
May I send someone in my place if I am no longer able to attend?
Unfortunately, no. Substitutions may not attend the retreat in your place. The retreats sell out very quickly, and a waitlist is kept of people hoping to get into the retreat. Sending someone in your place would not be fair to those on the waitlist who are hoping to get a seat at the retreat.
The normal cancellation policy applies to all cancellations. Substitutions are not permitted.

A note about the cancellation policy.
All cancellations mean that you are forfeiting your seat at the retreat and forfeiting your hotel room. Any cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start of the retreat will not receive a refund of any monies paid. (For more specifics, see the Policies tab on this website.)
Unfortunately with so many different reasons for cancellations, we cannot define which cancellations qualify for refunds and which don't, so we will stay consistent with no refunds within 30 days of the retreat.
COVID-19 and its consequences are not an exception to this policy.
