I promised to share some photos from my meeting in Corning last week, so here they are!  It was a beautiful day for a drive! I live on the east side of Rochester, and it took me 1 hour, 40 minutes to get to the Radisson Hotel Corning. It was an easy drive!  Those of you who have been attending retreats since the very beginning will recognize this sign... The retreats started in Painted Post in 2002! For reference, it was about a 6 mi. drive from the Painted Post exit to the Radisson Corning Hotel.  Here is the Radisson Hotel Corning. It has parking in front of the hotel and in the back.  Many of you will be happy to see luggage carts that are a good shape for transporting our scrapbooking supplies... None of those triangle shaped ones in sight!  There is an onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner (Grill 125). There is also an on site bar called the Steuben Bar. On weekends there is often live music.
There is a pool, as well as a good size workout room.
 The guest rooms are newly remodeled. Each room has a mini fridge and a coffee maker.  This is the back of the hotel.  The walking path you see in the photos above leads directly to the picturesque Market Street where you will find restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, bars, spas, cute shops and more, all just steps outside of the hotel!

 We will be holding a raffle fundraiser and a donation drive at the September retreat! Please know that participating is completely optional. If you are interested, here are the details: Raffle Fundraiser: Buy however many tickets you would like and drop them in the bag next to items you wish to win. The raffle drawing will happen on Saturday night! All money collected from the raffle fundraiser will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The goal of the American Cancer Society is to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Click here to read more about this charity. Please bring cash or check to pay for any tickets you wish to purchase. We will come around the ballroom selling tickets on Saturday at 4pm. Also, from 7-8pm on Saturday we will be at the registration table selling tickets, and collecting donations for the donation drive as well. Drawings will happen during the 8:30pm announcements on Saturday evening! Since several people have asked: If you wish to donate a raffle item to the raffle fundraiser, please just let me know that you will be bringing something and bring it with you to the retreat. All raffle items need to be brand new, not used. Baskets of items are welcome as well. If you are a consultant, feel free to include a catalog and/or business card along with your raffle item. Donation drive: On Saturday from 7-8pm, we will be collecting donations at the registration table. At this retreat we are collecting the following hygiene items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, and/or baby bottles. Bring in a brand new item for the donation drive and receive a raffle ticket for the raffle fundraiser! (Items from the dollar store are perfectly fine and much appreciated.) I will hand deliver all donations received to the Health and Wellness program at Foodlink (formerly Mothers in Need of Others). The Health and Wellness program at Foodlink distributes baby care items, cleaning supplies, and feminine and personal hygiene products to families in need. Foodlink currently serves 10 counties in the Rochester and FingerLakes area and their reach keeps growing! Click here to read more about the program.  For your inspiration... check out some projects that can be made with the new lines! Marilyn Tschorke has done it again! She has designed and created these sample layouts and cards for your inspiration at the Fall retreats. All of these samples and more will be displayed in the store area at the Fall retreats. Feel free to snap pictures of any of these layouts. If Marilyn happens to be attending the same retreat you are at, she is always happy to answer questions about her work, as well. Please note that these are not page kits. These hang on the wall sparking creativity, showing ideas of ways to use the new product. (Page kits will be displayed in a different area of the store.) 
 The last of the sneak peeks for the Fall retreats is called Harvest, by Carta Bella. I don't want summer to end, but these papers get me excited for the beautiful fall that is just around the corner... Available for purchase from this line will be double sided patterned paper, puffy stickers, cardstock stickers and the titles and phrases die cut pack. There will be many more products available to purchase at the Fall retreats than what I've shown you in the sneak peeks. However, hopefully you enjoyed seeing the new lines that will be available in addition to all the other product!

Items available to purchase at the Fall retreats will include double sided patterned paper (all 12 patterns), foam stickers, cardstock stickers, sentiment die cut bits, and page pieces.
